Heading into the new year with investment projects and innovative spirit
JUMBO-Textil has achieved a lot in the past year – and the aim is to do even better in 2020. That is why we will continue to invest: in technology, in equipment and above all in product development.
A great deal was achieved in 2019
We completed the past financial year with a 2 percent increase in turnover. The export share was 55 percent. We have launched and carried forward numerous new projects – and invested in new technologies and digitalisation. Among other things, a completely new IT architecture and innovative equipment for braiding, which enables the production of additional new geometries. “We operate in a complicated market environment. Against this background and in comparison with the competition, our sales increase in 2019 is a really great result”, CEO Andreas Kielholz sums up.
Tailored textile engineering solutions
Whether braided, woven or knitted: JUMBO-Textil manufactures its elastic and non-elastic narrow textiles – in addition to a wide range of standard solutions – in individual sizes and with individual specifications. The respective samples are specially developed and produced in our state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities in Sprockhövel (NRW).
Ambitious plans: further growth
Our innovative spirit continues unabated. The goal for 2020: growth of over 5 percent and an export share of 56 percent. To achieve this, we invest just as heavily in our technology as in quality management and product development. “We want to significantly increase our in-house development share this year and are already working on some new products”, explains Holger Vehring, Project Engineer at JUMBO-Textil. Our customers will benefit from this: with narrow tolerances, exact specifications and higher delivery speed.
On the road a lot: international trade fair presence
At international trade fairs, we will continue to interact with our customers in the new year and are setting clear signs for our positive company development: we will be presenting our innovative narrow textile solutions at CITEXT, Hannover Messe, Automotive Interiors Expo and IZB, among others. “We are well positioned for 2020,” says the CEO. “I am therefore very confident that we will top last year’s great result this year.”
