Narrow textiles for high design standards in vehicle interiors

Securing a mobile phone, holding the rear shelf, stretching upholstery, fixing the seat depth … Narrow textiles fulfil a wide variety of important tasks in vehicles. The cords, tapes and nets from JUMBO-Textil make an important contribution to modern mobility as quiet and lightweight components. After all, every gram of weight saved counts here.

However, textiles used in vehicle interiors shall not only perform their functions reliably – they must also look appealing and harmonise with the overall interior design. Textiles such as our elastic melange tape or woven elastic tape with reflective and coloured stripes combine first-class functionality with a sophisticated design. Aesthetics and materiality signal that this component is a premium product. Dimensions, colours and weaving techniques are adapted to the interior design of the vehicle. Depending on the interior concept, the narrow textiles sometimes attract attention and sometimes blend harmoniously into their surroundings. The melange tape, for example, can be woven in a variety of individual designs: plain or with longitudinal stripes, in black, grey and various other colours. This means it adapts perfectly to the interior design, both haptically and visually – the ideal solution for all applications on visible textile surfaces.

With its coloured and reflective stripes, the elastic woven rubber band is a real eye-catcher: the coloured stripes catch the eye in daylight, while the reflective threads do so in the dark. As they can be embedded, the woven tape also creates a tactile effect.
