JUMBO. Breaking ground for the future.

The new 13,500-square-metre site in Sprockhövel (near Wuppertal) is precisely what JUMBO was looking for: it’s the right size, is good building ground and has great motorway access. One factor of crucial importance when choosing our new location was to ensure our employees have as short a commute as possible.

The two-storey building now being built will cover an area of 7,500 square metres and house the production and logistics departments on the ground floor and the administration and sales departments on the second level. The building is scheduled for completion by autumn 2016. In addition to expanding our capacity, the top priorities for this new location are efficiency and cost effectiveness. Thanks to innovative air conditioning and new machinery, our manufacturing processes will become even better than they already are and we will improve our energy efficiency at the same time. All of these benefits, plus the lovely countryside location, will unleash new energy – energy we will use to the benefit of our customers.
