Certified partner of the VW Group
JUMBO-Textil has been a certified partner of the Volkswagen Group for many years. We were successfully approved as a supplier to the VW Group back in 2010. We once again provided evidence of our consistent and successful quality and process management procedures during a customer-specific audit that was conducted at the end of September. The excellent result we achieved in this audit confirmed our approval as a supplier.
Excellent quality and process management
The customer-specific requirements that are stipulated by the Volkswagen Group for partners in the supply chain are precisely formulated. The standards that a supplier must fulfil with regard to quality management systems and project management have been defined by the Group in the so-called Formel Q konkret. The complete advanced quality planning process also incorporates the specifications.
JUMBO-Textil passed the intensive one-day assessment according to Formel-Q specifications with flying colours. The certificate issued attests to our Formel Q capability with an excellent result of 95% and an “A” rating. This means we are a fully authorised supplier for the core processes of weaving, braiding, knitting and manufacture in the entire Volkswagen Group and can be contacted directly for customer textile enquiries. Sub-suppliers are also able to refer to the approval by the Volkswagen Group. This simplifies and accelerates the initial sampling processes.
Competent solution partner
We have been certified according to ISO 9001:2008, ISO/TS 16949:2009 and Formel Q konkret for many years. We will further verify our quality management system according to IATF 16949:2016 certification at the end of the year. “The current certification according to Formel Q konkret of the Volkswagen Group confirms the high quality of our high-tech textiles and the efficiency of the processes implemented by JUMBO-Textil”, explains managing partner Andreas Kielholz. “The audit once again demonstrates the company’s status as a competent solution partner.”
